Position Overview

We’re seeking an experienced AutoCAD Designer to join our design team. In this role, you’ll be responsible for creating and modifying 2D and 3D engineering drawings that support gas and telecommunications design projects. You’ll work closely with engineers and project managers to ensure all drawings meet client specifications, company standards, and regulatory requirements. If you’re detail-oriented, technically skilled, and enjoy turning design concepts into accurate construction-ready drawings, this role is for you.

Education: Associate’s degree or certification in Drafting, Engineering Technology, or related field preferred.
Experience: 2+ years of AutoCAD design experience, ideally in civil, gas utility, or telecommunications projects.
Skills:
- Proficiency in AutoCAD (2D and 3D).
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in drafting work.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, plans, and technical documentation.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
Bonus Points For:
- Experience with MicroStation, Civil 3D, or GIS mapping tools.
- Familiarity with permitting drawings, utility standards, or DOT plan sets.
- Knowledge of gas distribution and telecom network design principles.

Create, edit, and update 2D and 3D drawings using AutoCAD for gas and telecom infrastructure projects.
Work with engineers and project managers to develop accurate, efficient, and compliant designs.
Interpret sketches, field data, and technical information to produce detailed drawings and plans.
Maintain drawing consistency and ensure adherence to company drafting standards.
Review and check drawings for accuracy, completeness, and compliance before submittal.
Revise and update existing drawings based on redlines, design changes, or field feedback.
Manage and organize CAD files to maintain version control and document integrity.
Coordinate with permitting and field teams to ensure designs align with regulatory and site requirements.
