Position Overview
We’re seeking a knowledgeable Maintenance of Traffic (MOT) Specialistto support field operations, permitting activities, and project planning. In this role, you will develop, implement, and oversee MOT plans that ensure safe work zones for crews, motorists, and pedestrians. You will collaborate with engineers, permitting teams, and public agencies to ensure all MOT setups meet state, local, and industry safety regulations.

Develop and implement Maintenance of Traffic (MOT) plans for gas and telecom infrastructure projects.
Ensure all traffic control setups comply with FDOT, MUTCD, county, and municipal requirements.
Coordinate with project managers, engineers, and permitting teams to obtain approvals for MOT plans.
Perform site visits to assess field conditions and adjust traffic control plans as needed.
Communicate with local authorities, inspectors, and municipalities regarding traffic impacts and planned activities.
Monitor active work zones to verify MOT compliance and address safety concerns.
Prepare, update, and revise MOT plans based on design changes, field feedback, or regulatory requirements.
Maintain accurate documentation and ensure all MOT plans are properly recorded and submitted.
Provide guidance to field teams on proper traffic control device placement and setup.
